At first, I was convinced that there were far too many excellent websites out there to award them all, so I created the Golden Pony Pile Award to give to those select few excellent sites that were weird. However, just the other day, I was engaged in a phone conversation with a family member, and suddenly, out of nowhere, I had a vision! A vision of two pony tails hoisted high in the air in salute of all those wonderful websites and people out there! And now, from this vision I bring you none other than the Two Tails Up Award!

This award is for those wonderful sites out there that amaze or enlighten, tickle the senses or bring back the child in you. It is also for a select few individuals who have demonstrated an excellence in commerce online or who have been kind and generous in the sharing of information. I cannot hope to locate all those excellent sites out there, but I'm sure with the help of others, I can give this humble gift of an award to as many sites and people as possible. Please note that there are two separate categories for the award: sites and people. You may apply for site awards, but I will give the award to individuals based only on my experience with those people.

For information about the award, take a look at the questions and answers below.

What types of things am I looking for when you submit your site?

1. It should be visually pleasing: I tend to prefer graphically-oriented sites (sites with enough graphics to hold my interest). All text may bore me.

2. It needs to be interesting in some way. If you can't do it with graphics, make sure you have some really good text on there for me to read!

3. It must be tasteful. For instance, if you have a need to ridicule PEOPLE (I don't mind ridiculing toys or objects, which don't have feelings), you must do it in a way that does not show your immaturity at needing to ridicule others.

4. It would preferably include ponies. This award is universal, so I don't require ponies to be on there, but if you have two sites, one with ponies and one without, I would prefer that you submit the one with the ponies.

What do you do if you win the award?

Just right-click on the award image (for IBM) or click and hold the mouse button on the award image (for Macintosh) and choose "Download image to disk." Download the image, then put it on your page and upload it to wherever it belongs, then link it back to http://www.rainribbon.com! Please DO NOT LINK DIRECTLY TO THE IMAGE!  If I catch you linking to the image, the FILE NAME WILL CHANGE, and you will get a DEAD IMAGE!!  Please don't forget to link back if you won the award and don't steal the award if you have not won it, since I worked hard on this award image and those who have it, do because they deserve it. Thanks for making a wonderful website and enjoy your award!
